SONG SUGGESTIONS FORM

YouTube Mod Application Form
Thank you for considering to apply as one of my YouTube mods!If you have been to my streams, you will have an idea as to how messy chat can get, and I am honestly in need of some mods to help manage everything, to ensure that chatters are comfortable, respected and that everything is in alignment to YouTube & Twitch ToS.When applying, please be aware that my streams are usually Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 2300 GMT. I will also be doing guerrilla streams every now and then. You do not have to be present for every stream, but I am hoping at least one of you will be present during streams. I will endeavour to announce guerrillas at least one hour before I start them.Please note that this is a voluntary role!Successful applicants will be contacted via email. If you have not received an email 5-10 working days after submitting the form, please assume you were unsuccessful.Looking forward to see your submissions!

Thank you for supporting me via Twitch / Patreon!

Materials Disclaimer:- This material is available to everyone who has supported via Twitch / Patreon subscription.
- Materials are accessible only to everyone who has purchased a subscription. Please do not share this material outside of fellow subscribers.
- All subscribers are able to access this material, however personal lessons/feedback are only available to Tier 3 subscribers. Tier 2 subscribers are able to access additional material from Haruki's personal learning and are allowed to attend pre-scheduled bi-monthly lessons/feedback/practice sessions.
- All material here will be referenced so you can do your own research should you choose to do so. Materials that are not referenced are based on my personal learning or experience.
- Lessons will be held over a Discord server that will be accessible after Haruki has confirmed your subscription.
- Please be reminded that Himitsu Haruki is NOT a classically trained instrumentalist, and everything he will be teaching and referring to are mostly based on his personal band/streaming/solo performance experiences.
- Also please be reminded that while Haruki may refer to some streaming practices, these sessions are intended to teach basic music theory, not streaming 101. Haruki may deem some reference to streaming necessary during the lessons, but please focus on the main topic.
- None of the lessons are obligatory, you are free to attend any scheduled sessions and access the learning material at any time; however please be considerate if you have scheduled a session; if you are not able to attend, please inform Haruki via email/Discord so he can free your allotted time.

This programme will have THREE main objectives:
To train your relative pitch to the point that you are able to recognise chords and improve your sonic awareness of the major scale;
Develop the ability to form chords on your own and play common progressions;
Train your ears to listen to songs deeper and organically pick up chords or creatively reharmonise songs with emotionally appropriate chords.
Altogether, once achieved, these three goals will allow you to become an independent musician capable of playing most songs with your instrument- using only your ears!
Before looking at the curriculum, please read through the following FAQ section:
WHY these objectives specifically?
These objectives are the most important skills I constantly use on streams and live performances, and are useful for spontaneous requests. They allow me to perform songs by ear- meaning if I am aware of what the song sounds like, I can play it with my instrument without necessarily having memorised the chords or be able to play along with someone just by listening to them sing.
HOW LONG will these lessons take?
It will all depend on your initial level of understanding and musical ability. A considerable amount of time and energy commitment is necessary to develop ANY skill, and this will be no different. Practice will be a requirement to improve. These are skills I have developed over years of intermittent practice.
WHAT do the lessons look like?
Tier 1 subscribers will get access to weekly lessons. These lessons are scheduled, and you may decide to attend whichever lesson whenever you are available. Higher tier subscribers will have access to personal lessons and scheduled feedback/practice sessions. All sessions will be held on Discord.
Materials will also be provided if you prefer self-learning. Every lesson is around 30mins to an hour.
WHICH instruments should I bring?
Preferably a piano or guitar. You can also bring a ukulele if it is your preferred instrument, but please be aware that piano and guitar are my expertise. If you have a guitar, I would advise you have a capo. If you are a vocalist, having a piano will be desirable, as it will help visualise theory. However I will have a virtual keyboard available so I will be able to visually support you during lessons as well.
WHEN will I know I am ready?
Tests will be available to reinforce your knowledge. If you are able to pass these tests per objective, you should be able to move on and focus on the next. Free practice and feedback sessions will be available for every subscriber, however Tier 3 subscribers will have access to scheduled appointments.
WHY are you hosting these lessons?
Other than a convenient source of income, it is my desire to make music more accessible. I firmly believe many are musical, but are hindered because of jargon or by thinking that music is far too complex. I wish to tap into our innate sonic abilities and allow more people to enjoy music and find for themselves the desire to create/be inspired by music, without the need for classical training/music degree!
